Planning Challenges: Changes in Costs Protection

Changes regarding 'cost capping' for those seeking to challenge planning decisions came into force on 28 February 2017. In some ways the changes make it more costly for third parties to challenge decisions.

Changes to policy on hearing fees

New Rules for the refund of hearing fees for all cases will come into force on 6 March 2017.

34% of commercial properties could be un-lettable from April 2018 due to changes in EPC rating

As of April 2018 it will be mandatory for commercial properties to have a minimum of an E rating in its Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) before they can let.
